Alumina Zirconia – SICHENG

Alumina Zirconia is a tough and hard material, its produced by fusing zirconia, titania, and alumina in an electric arc furnace at a high temperature above 2000°C. Alumina Zirconia is the toughest abrasive among the existing abrasives. The toughness of Alumina Zirconia is particularly important for heavy grinding wheels. It works best under high pressure (required for the grain to fracture, exposing new sharp edges). It has large fracture planes, and it self-sharpens as it cuts.
The most common applications are bonded abrasive, coated abrasive, and cut-off wheel applications, particularly for stainless steel and other challenging alloys.
